PEMPOUL IS RETIRING

Maggie and Gordon Gravett are retiring Pempoul from the Exhibition circuit. You have just three more chances to see it.

 Railcard passing through Pempoul

After almost ten years and some fifty shows Gordon and Maggie Gravett are to retire Pempoul from the exhibition circuit. You have just three more chances to see this iconic layout .

York Show at Easter, 15th to 17th April, www.yorkshow.org.uk

Lille, France, 28th to 30th April, www.trainsmania.com (web site in French)

Aylesbury, 27th and 28th May, www.railex.org.uk

Those south of London or in the Home Counties who for some reason need to duck Aylesbury may find Lille a similar price and time travelling to York. Just remember your passport if coming north of Watford.

Pempoul may be retiring, hopefully to a good home, but Gordon and Maggie aren't, there is promise of a smaller O gauge layout. Pempoul was designed around the size of a standard Transit; since then the Transit has grown but the shape has changed so the Gravetts have needed to hire an even bigger van. Gordon says the new O gauge will fit in their car with room for Maggie and a toothbrush.

We look forward to seeing it.
