CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: ASSOCIATION SALES

Limitation of Services

                                            COVID-19: ASSOCIATION SALES.

Fellow modellers. Me again!

You should shortly be receiving the latest issues of Narrow Lines and Narrow News. The list of Shows and attractions in NN has clearly been overtaken by events as you will all know. But there are also be lists of items from your Sales Officers. The Association Executive has concluded that, in light of current Government restrictions, it is not reasonable to expect its Officers to queue in Post Offices - they might be willing, because they’re nice people, but in their best interests, we are not. Nor should Post Office staff need to deal with ’non-essentials’. We hope you will agree. It’s a pain in the bum, but others in our communities are making greater sacrifices, and the stuff will still be there when this is over.

Sales Officers could provide items where these can be popped in a pre-stamped Jiffy-bag, or similar, and dropped in their local postbox, but this will not apply to membership packs, nor to large items such as wood, Peco track and so on. Nothing over 45cm. If in doubt, ask. Please do not request items that would not go in the postbox, and may we thank you for your forbearance.

Keep yourselves safe.
Keep in touch with those you know are on their own.

Best wishes

STEVE COBB, Association Secretary,
per pro Neil Smith, Chairman; Steve Gardiner, Treasurer; Adrian Gray, Chairman designate.
